The BriTins, A Beatles Tribute Band performance at The Ontonagon Theater of the Performing Arts, 7 p.m. Friday.

The National Rendezvous and Living History Foundation’s 2010 Midwest Territorial Rendezvous is being held July 27 through August 7 at its campsite on the west side of the Ontonagon River.

Alumni Band and Choir Reunion Concert is set for Saturday, July 31 at 7:30 p.m. at The Ontonagon Theater of the Performing Arts.

Simple Jerry’s is serving Friday at the Fire Hall and Saturday at the Recreation Center.

Ontonagon County Historical Society Museum, 422 River Street, will be open Reunion Weekend.  Lighthouse tours are available.

The old Ontonagon High School and Elementary School on Greenland Road will be open for touring Friday and Saturday.

The Ontonagon Area Scholarship Foundation is hosting an information booth at Registration Friday and Saturday.

The Ontonagon Township Library, 311 North Steel Street, has wireless internet and public access computers available, no library card required.  Browse local newspapers and yearbooks or entertain the kids.

The Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Foundation is hosting an information table at Registration Friday and Saturday.

The Ontonagon Booster Club will man its sales booth at Registration on Friday and Saturday.

A Saturday Tour of Homes in the area is sponsored by local real estate agencies.

OCAP (Ontonagon County Animal Protection) open house at its new facility near Evergreen Cemetery on Greenland Road is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Art in the Park (ing) lot, presented by Friends of the Porkies, located at U-Save Greenhouse on Friday, July 30th from 10 am to 7pm and Saturday, July 31st from 10am to 5pm.  Art Gallery and Friends Merchandise, books, art prints, t-shirts and more. Check out the Friends Activities.

Old Victoria Restoration will be offering a 10-day special in honor of
Ontonagon Area Schools Reunion 2010.  All week,  40% off each adult (making a tour $3) and kids 13 and under are free! Come share our history with your family, and see the improvements made since your last visit!

Book Signing and Open House during the All School Reunion on Friday, July 30th from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Ontonagon Memorial Building.  Come and see Kelly Watt, author of  The Fourteenth Year; Larry Chabot, author of The U.P. Goes to War & Saving Our Sons; Jane Toombs, author of numerous fiction and nonfiction books; Michael Genrick, author of Totem, Megis and Interior; David Young, author of The Origin of 2nd Amendment; Bruce Johanson, author of This Land, The Ontonagon and more.

 

Tickets will be on sale at the reunion registration on Friday and downtown on Saturday for the John O. Harry Memorabilia Raffle to benefit the elementary playground and the Ontonagon Booster Club.  There are packages from Brett Farve, Lambeau Field, Ray Nitichki, Super Bowl XXXI, Golf Outings, NASCAR, Harley Davidson and Izzo-Mariucci.  They include framed photos, shirts, caps, jackets, wall hangings and much more.  Check out these sports packages at the elementary school on Friday and at Hegg’s Plumbing & Heating on Saturday.  The Booster Club will also be selling Polar Bear and Gladiator clothing at these same venues.
